Who writes Knife Sharpener Guy, and how we work.

Knife Sharpener Guy is an independent editorial project about knife sharpening, blade care and choosing the right tools for the job.

Our guides are written by our editorial team. We research from metallurgy references, manufacturer specifications and established sharpening practice, and we explain our reasoning so you can judge it for yourself.

Sharpening is a craft where technique matters more than equipment, and where a lot of confident advice circulates without much behind it. We try to be clear about which recommendations rest on measurable material properties, such as steel hardness and edge geometry, and which come down to preference and feel.

How we attribute our work

Articles on this site are published under the name Knife Sharpener Guy Editorial rather than under individual bylines. We think collective attribution is the honest description of how this site is actually produced, and we would rather say that plainly than present a roster of individual specialists that does not reflect how the work is done.
